Weekend Fun!

After a good nights sleep, we were ready for some more Fun.

My MIL is on many committee's and belongs to several groups, and always knows about the best things going on around our town.   I have been invited to many a store opening, and evening events with her and I love every second of it.  I found out about this event from her a few years back.  Every Summer the Dean Lesher sponsors a family event.  Almost the entire event is free to families.  We have gone the past few years and always have a good time. This year was no different.

We are so lucky to have a theater like this in our home town

Jack dove right in and was ready to have fun
Big Winner at Ring Toss

Fist Bump with a Pirate
Awesome sticker to match his new crown

Madeline on the other hand...
needed some more time to warm up...

There were lots of characters

But the most exciting part of the day was ...
The Juice Box Heroes!

They put on the best show!

I had never heard of the Juice Box Heroes until a few months ago when My Mom-while watching some show...or reading some magazine....or heard through the grapevine-that they were great, bought us some CD's and we've been listening to them ever since.  The kids recognized the songs and danced along.  So much fun!  The Juice Box Heroes sing songs that were big hits from the 80's and 90's, and change the words.  For example:  George Michael's "You Gotta Have Faith"  turns into "You gotta have Cake"  It's really a cute CD.  If you don't have it, get it! They have a Loose Tooth song, that goes to the same tune as Foot Loose, which we played over and over again when Jack was loosing his first tooth.

They had so much fun!
And it was all Thanks to those wonderful Grandmothers of theirs!

After the festival was some park time...
Jack mastered the Monkey slide.

After Naptime, they played so nicely together in their sand table.  Love that!
(They're working very hard on sharing toys....it's so tough with a 3 year age gap)

The biggest surprise of the day was when Auntie Jamie stopped by with Madeline's B-day gift.
Here's what I love about Jaime....She's one of my friends who TRULY appreciates fashion.  The same way I do.  When I talk about a certain designer, Jaime always knows exactly what I mean.  I love that.  So it seemed fitting, that Madeline's Godmother, buy her, her first pair of designer Jeans.
Joes Jeans.
Mama's Favorite!
And Skinny Jeans at that.

Madeline is ready for Fall 2011.

:)

So glad to be home.  So sad the weekend is over.  So sad Vacation is over.

Tomorrow.....

Back to work....

Boo.

I know I talk about how tired I am,  But I wouldn't trade the moments I've shared this week with my kids and husband for anything.

Too Bad my next week off is Christmas.....I'll try not to think about that......
