Weekend in Pictures

Our weekend consisted of lots and lots of Baseball!

Helllllllo ladies......

Jack is so excited to be playing baseball.

How cute is he???

The boys love practice.

Jack is so eager to join in.  It's adorable.

Jack also has his own personal cheering section.

After practice on Friday Night we went to pizza. Aunt B and Uncle Ben joined us.

Madeline spent her time and the ticket counter  buying prizes.

The weather was SO nice this weekend.....so we enjoyed some time outside...

Jack doesn't mind borrowing her sisters toys.... Pink or not....

;)

Saturday night was date night!
for Jack's school auction!!
Thank you to my parents and Clay's parents for taking the kids.  *especially Mimi and Gumpy who had Madeline who was up all night with an unexpected fever! You guys are the best!*

The Mayor of the schools city was at our table!  He was very excited we were treating him like a celebrity. Several Mom's at our table asked to take their picture with him.  He bought our table dessert!  So nice!

The theme was Mardi Gras.
The photo is dark.....
but Mr. Kirbyface got in the spirit and is wearing like 50 beads in this photo.

So much fun!

As you know the Oscars were on Last night.
I LOVE the Oscars..

Lindsey drove down this weekend to watch with me.
Love. That.

No party this year though......

Just dinner and the show.

Which is fine by me!

Except....next year I'm thinking.... red carpet.....fancy dresses....ballots...

We shall see...

And just for the record....

I thought Seth MacFarlane was VERY entertaining.

And I loved, loved, loved all the singing and dance surprises.

Happy Valentines day!

Happy Valentines Day!

Last year I asked Heather @ cookiemondays to make me this sign for Brit's shower!  I'm so glad I kept it!  My mantle was so festive.
I had something put out for all the Valentines in my life.

Jack was so excited to pass out his Sticky hand Valentine's.
I think they turned out Amazing!
Thanks to Aunt Casey for her late night help!

Madeline's were not perfect...but they still turned out REALLY cute.
I just love making Valentines...it's so much work, but they are so much cuter than store bought ones!

Aunt Casey was so nice and dropped off dessert.
I LOVE cupcakes from Sinful Bliss!!

Here are my two sweethearts on their way to school.

Happy Valentines day!

10 on 10

Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments.

I'm so excited I remember 10 on 10!!
The 10th this month fell on a Sunday....
Which means laundry in the Kirbyface household....
(how scary is that pile....yuck. Laundry.)

Late Saturday nights, mean sleeping in...With Barbie....

Barbie caught up on some naked T.V. time...

And we headed to the park!

My Monkey...

A little afternoon catch with Dad...

Mmmmmmm
Freebirds...
(move over Chipotle, there's a new burrito in town...and it's amazeballs.)

Cooking a mit on a Sunday afternoon.
(totally normal)

Late afternoon snack....

Grammy time!!!
(not quite as elaborate as Golden Globes....but we don't mind!!  Bring on the bad dresses and singers I no longer recognize!)

SUPERBOWL 2013!

Remember our Fantasy Football league???

Well....

We were READY to party for Superbowl and crown our Champion!
It made the day even better that OUR team was in the Superbowl!
Woot! Woot!!
Love, Love, Love the sign Casey bought from Heather @ Cookie Mondays
It added just the touch we needed to get everyone in the spirit.

Casey helped me with EVERYTHING.
Love that girl.

We had the necessary food for a football party.

And the necessary decoration.
You can't be a champion with out a trophy!

This year Lindsey won our Leagues Championship...
She beat Clay by 4 points.
Ouch.

Next year, it's on like Donkey Kong.
I'm takin this bad boy home.

Lindsey was very excited about her trophy.

Everyone brought a dish to share.
Lynne made the most delicious meatballs.  They were hawaiian inspired with a piece of pineapple in the middle.
SO GOOD.

The commissioner requested Chili.

The co-commisioner requested Nachos.
What's a football party with out Nachos....
Right???

The Champion brought pulled pork
it was fantastic.

I made Casey bring Buffalo Chicken Dip.
This is my new favorite dip....
(i kinda wish I had some right now....)

Tegan brought Buffalo Roasted Shrimp with Blue Cheese dipping sauce.
Yum!

Mom made 7 layer dip cups.

and white chocolate orange cookies..... and I begged Lynne to make her caramel brownies in addition to her meatballs.

Casey was ready to party.

As were the boys.

Lindsey is pretty sure she will be keeping the trophy again next year....

and I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna let that happen.

:)

Hooray for Football!!!

Happy 36th to Me.....

Have I mentioned how much I love my Birthday???
Because I do.
Love it that is...

But this year.... I wasn't in the "Birthday" mood...

Dyeing my hair right before I get a year older, probably wasn't the best idea..... (at least it's finally growing on me...)

I also was in MUCH better shape this time last year....in fact...last  year, I was my goal weight....

So this year, 36 has been tough to swallow.

And I wasn't shy about sharing my blue state...

I will say that my friends did their best to show me the best time possible- ( of course-they are awesome friends ....that's what they do best)

My Birthday weekend started off with Mani-Pedi's with Lynne

and Lindsey...
And some wine..

And then we headed over to Rakestraw Books in Danville.
The author of our Book Club Book was doing a book signing for her book that was released the weekend of my Birthday.
My Friend Summer read that she was coming to her town and told us all about it.
I was so excited.
The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister
Go out and read it.  You will thank me.
I promise.
She is SO talented, and just about the nicest woman you will ever meet.
She was so inspiring.
And she even signed my Book "Happy Birthday"
Love. That.

After that we headed to That Bar in Danville.
I had almost all of my girls there to celebrate with me.
But...
I just wasn't feelin it this year....
I was in a funk.
I hated my hair, nothing fit before I left, I was feeling old....

And they tried. They really did....
But it was so hard to shake my funk.

They even bought me the Hunter boots I have wanted for YEARS.
But when I tried them on, they wouldn't fit over my newly chubbed out calves.
Throwing me a bit deeper into the dumps.

It was so nice to be with everyone.

I wish I was in a better place.

These ladies mean the world to me.

But after years and years of friendship....they know that my funks don't last long
And before long I get into the spirit...

And get back to my old self....

Saturday Morning my Husband surprised me with my favorite secret indulgence...
Chick Fil A Breakfast....
Yuuuuum.
(I love it when he does sweet things like this for me....it's stuff like this that makes me love him so...)

Sunday we got a visit from our favorite photographers!

I just LOVE them!
I can't wait to see our proofs!!
Here's a little sneak peak....

My ACTUAL Birthday started at the Trophy store picking up our Fantasy Football Champions Trophy.
(more on that later)

Then off to Noahs for one of my favorite breakfasts.
MMMmmmmm

Then I had some surprise visitors bearing gifts!
Love my new Lobster sign from Laura!

They made my day! I love being surprised!

Mary brought me my favorite flower.
I love love love Flowers.
ESPECIALLY tulips.
Love. Her.

I received Birthday text from my family.

And adorable gifts from people who love me.

How cute is this lobster and crab cooler bags??
Can't WAIT to use them this summer!

After presents we headed out to shop.
Donnie came along for the ride.

For lunch we went to the Neiman Marcus Cafe

I was treated to my favorite champagne...

and the most amazing lunch.
They will split anything for you.
So I had half of my Mom's Seafood Louie, and she had half of my Mahi-Mahi tacos.
Delicious.

I love the cookies they give you on  your way out....

I'd like to say the rest of the day was perfect.

but that's just not life sometimes.

Sometimes in life you get in a tiff with your Husband on your Birthday...

And sometimes...

Your daughter get's the flu...and you are cleaning Puke on your Birthday.....

Some years are better than others is what I'm learning at the ripe old age of 36.

And as moody as I was....

My Birthday was pretty great.

Wonderful family, Amazing Friends, I have my health, adorable children, and my main squeeze.

Here's to 36!
