10 on 10: May 2012

10 on 10.

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

Lately I have been very good about making everyone's bed in the morning.
(I probably should let them do it themselves, but they don't quite have the hang of it...so they help...but I finish...)
It's so nice to come home to all the beds made.
Here is Maddie's. She helps me line up all of her "friends" once her bed is made.

I have gained 9 lbs since Ben and Brittany's wedding....
So I've been packin it everyday for Lunch....
Not only is it better on my figure...it's better for my wallets figure...

However....
I'm a very weak woman..
(In my defense...pork rinds are carb free!)

This is my dirty work lap top....the time in the corner say's 4:34pm.
I was at my first stop today at 7:08.  That time stamps means Mama is exhausted, Brit saved the day and picked up the kids...and overtime was made.

I came home to a surprise in the mail!
A *little* Love note from Gram for Mother's day.
Love. That. Lady.
(Isn't it fun to receive a letter in the mail.  I still get so excited...and if it's from Gram...I still shake it for the dollar to fall out.... and it always does   :)  ....)

Quick and easy dinner.
Stuffed Baked Mushroom caps.
Yum.

Bathtime!
Who doesn't love a shampoo mohawk?

Henry was not amused...

Before bed...a book...or two...
Since Daddy wasn't home, we had to agree on the story, and snuggle together in Madeline's rocking chair.

Kids are down. Dishes are done...and here I am.
Just like I am every night....hoping my friends find the energy to blog so I can keep up with their every move...
Even if they're 10 miles away, 60 miles away, 750 miles away, or 2000 miles away.
I still feel connected if I check my dashboard, and there. you. are.

Happy 10 on 10!!!

How was YOURS???

10 on 10 (well 6 on 10)

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

I tried.  I really, really tried.  But I only captured 6 today...

But 6 is better than none, right???

Here is how I have started my morning every Morning for the last 10 days.
Henry is VERY excited to go running with Mom in the Morning.
It's our bonding time....  We'll see if it lasts.....

We are STILL desperately working on potty training....
Even Barbie goes Potty!
(Hey! Whatever works right?)

Madeline is fascinated with all things Barbie. Every night she lines them up and sings Happy Birthday to them.  Tonight was Christmas Barbie's Birthday, and according to Maddie, today Barbie is 2.
:)

Today Mom caved and allowed Juice as part of our afternoon snack. I'm usually a Milk and Water only house and save Juice boxes for visits to Grandma's or Birthday parties...but today we had a treat.

Momma's Workin on her fitness.  I finally picked a dress for that darn wedding.  So running at 5 am and low carb, low cal, fiber cereal for dinner it is. YUM. YUM.

Daddy picked up a Sponge Bob Shaving kit.... Jack was nice enough to share with his sister.

There you have it.

My 10 eh...  6 on 10.

Maybe I'll get it next Month....

If I remember....

10 on 10

I finally remembered!

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

Both kids slept in which meant quiet time in bed, Sunday Paper and Clay's favorite magazine on the IPad.

Maddie was up first and ready to play.
(she insisted Baby be in the photo with her)

Jack man had to be bribed out of bed.

Mickey Mouse Pancakes were promised.
(His Favorite)

Both kids were a tad on the cranky side....
Meltdown #1

and...

Meltdown # 2

For Lunch, Daddy took a try at smoking meat.
Hickory smoked Tri Tip.
It was delicious!

Daddy had to give Jack-man's new Big-Wheel a try....
Not sure who wanted the new ride more....

Too tired to Cook.....

A quick kiss good-night.

There you have it.  I haven't remembered to do this in months.

Today I did!

Can't wait to see your 10!

10 on 10!

May 10, 2011

{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}

I keep forgetting to do this!  But today I remembered!

Somebody did not want to get up this morning....
(snug as a bug in a rug....)

Luckily Daddy had to go in late this morning, so Maddie was happy to go to the car with her favorite guy.

Tuesday's mean being spoiled by Auntie Mary....

Traffic was crazy today.....
I thought work would never end....

For Mother's day I was given a Giants Jersey that was entirely too big, so today on my lunch break, I exchanged it for this!
I have wanted this warm up Jacket FOREVER!
LOVE IT!

It came in handy today for the Giants game!
We stopped by to pick up tickets from Aunt Mard for Casey's Birthday that we celebrated a tad early.
They have the most amazing seats!
Thank you so Much Aunt Mard and Uncle Rich!

We were early for the game.....
But just in time for Happy Hour!

Here I am with the almost Birthday Girl
We made it in time to watch the Diamondbacks warm up!

Even though I'm a CA Native....I'm a sucker for a delicious Chicago Dog.......I always get one when we go to AT and T park....So delicious!

GIANTS WIN!!!

Hope you all had a great 10 on 10!

Ten on Ten

Ten on Ten
January 10, 2011
{Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!}
I love this idea I stole from The Larson Lingo.

For my first 10 on 10 I waited until the 10th fell on a Saturday.....But then I figured....maybe I should document an average day....Who knows?  I may not do this job FOREVER....

So...

Here is my second 10 on 10.

Maddie had a looooong night.
Horrible cough, Fever....she did NOT want to wake up....
She also did not want to say good-bye to Mommy when she left for work.
(On Monday's she stays home with Brit. Mom was in town too, otherwise I would have stayed home with her...poor baby.....At least I knew she was in good hands.)
On my way to my first appointment.
(yes...your vision is fine.  Those are fingerless gloves.  Laugh if you will...it was 39 degrees this morning, and for this native Californian-that is COLD. So shush Rose. I have to type...OUTSIDE!  I need my fingertips available!  Thank you Santa, I LOVE my new gloves!
My first stop.
This one took about 2 hours....
Snack time.....
I'm working on those resolutions.....
So far, So good!
(still having a tough time with that water thing....)
Came home early for an afternoon snack with Mads.
(she forgave me for leaving her....)
Jack-man stealing some time with Daddy's new IPad before dinner.
He set the table!
(Dad helped with the candle...But he did the rest by himself, including getting the paper towels and silverware out.  Jack told me that he wanted the table to look like a restaurant-He was very upset we didn't have flowers....it may not be set for royalty..but we're working on it....baby steps.)
Dad did bath-time so Mom could get her treadmill time in....since she overslept this morning.... oops!  Thanks Babe!
(No comments from the peanut gallery regarding my time and distance, I'm only 10 days into this work out regiment and I'm taking it slow!)
And finally a kiss good night to a very excited almost Birthday Boy.
(It's still 2 days away, and this boy just won't fall asleep!)

Happy 10 on 10!
Can't wait to read all of yours!

10.10.10 Ten on Ten

Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments.

I first saw 10 on 10 done by Heather at Cookie Mondays , I thought it was such a great idea!  I learned that Heather got the idea from Mel at Larson Lingo who got the idea from another blog, and I'm sure the list goes on and on.  All I know is a good idea when I see it.  I have wanted to copy the idea for some time, but since I'm never home on weekdays, doing a 10 on 10 during the day at my work would be so boring (who would want to see  my feet sticking out from under cars all day???... ).  So I was so excited that the 10th fell on a Sunday, and to top it off, the perfect date for a 10 on 10!
(I had a very big surprise in store for me today....you may notice a difference in my photos as you read)

So here goes!  My first 10 at 10!

Clay let me sleep in!  Yay!
How else could I repay him but to make Blueberry Pancakes from scratch! Jack sifted, while Maddie sampled the fruit for edibility.
You'll notice the cooking bible next to Madeline for reference. (God bless the Joy of Cooking!)

Jack had a little craft time and wanted to use his new colored pencil set.

The Walnut Creek Farmers Market was hoppin today!
 I love fall colored flowers...

We may have stayed too long...... Nap time was calling someone's name...

Both kids fell right asleep for their afternoon naps and Clay and I enjoyed a little downtime.

Clay surprised me with my Anniversary present early!  He was so sweet!  He said he didn't want me to have to use my little *crappy* camera for my first 10 on 10.
I am SO excited about this camera.
I am now a photo taking fool!

A late afternoon snack....and a little wine to celebrate the new camera...  ;)

Clay enjoying the Giants big win....

Waiting for dinner to simmer......

Soups on!
It was SO hot today!  But I had all the ingredients to make Chicken Corn Chowder.  Homemade soup...down to the last drop.  I even made the chicken stock from scratch!
Clay made me turn the air conditioning on just so we could eat without sweating to death.  You gotta love Fall in California!

Thank you to my wonderful Husband for embracing my new found love of blogging and buying me the most generous and thoughtful Anniversary gift a girl could ask for.

I love you Smooch!

Hope you enjoyed my 10 on 10!

Next month give it a try!

I would love to see how you spend your 10 on 10!
Thank you Heather and Mel for letting me steal borrow your idea!
