February Highlights

February was quite a month!

Jack won a "major award" at school.
The Bud Rank Award
Which is most effort put forth and most improved.
Very Impressive!

He was SO excited.

My Friend Jennifer's Birthday was at the beginning of the month.

Some of the girls got together to wish her well.

Maddie thought it would be a good idea to jump from her brothers dresser to his nightstand using his window blind pull as a swing.  Missed, and got us an express ticket...

Here.
Oh, HI Kaiser!  It's been awhile.
6 stitches later we had a new accessory.

The bandaid was worn for weeks.
Luckily the scar is very faint now.

The Valentines party at Mom's group was a hit!

With BOTH my children.

We also got Library Cards.
I see lots of trips to the library in our future!

Aunt B came to visit!

And So did Mom!

I drove up to the Bay to celebrate Donnie being introduced to the Catholic Church.

And was able to spend time with one of my favorite ladies.

Looking forward to a busy, busy March!

Happy Valentines Day!

The night before Valentine's Day I wait for everyone to go to bed....
And then put out everyones sweetheart gift, so they can wake to them in the morning.

This year Jack got a Star Wars wipe board, a Nerf gun and some chocolates.

Maddie got a ruled wipe board, a bracelet and some candy.

Daddy got his favorite candy, a hand made coffee mug from the kids and a signed baseball from Mama.

After the kids headed to school I whipped up some of Ina Garten's Coconut Buttercream Cupcakes.
Hello Delicious!
P.s. Go Giants!

Then I put a candied heart on the top of each one an delivered them to our local friends.
(I wish they would keep in the mail.....but...you know...)

When I went to the car to take the kids to school, we found treats from Daddy.
Tulips for me, and a single rose for Mads.  She was SO excited.

Do these tights get any cuter...
I mean..Right??

I had to get Valentined myself...
So I wore my favorite pink Sperry's and my brand new Birthday Purse.

When Clay came home he surprised me with my favorite wine and a beautiful card.
And then I made him Meatloaf for dinner.

If that doesn't say love then I don't know what does.

Happy Heart Day!

Vegas Baby!

For the first time ever.  My girls and I went to Vegas.
And not for reasons we would have in our younger days....
We went for girl talk, time away from Mom duties... and food.  Amazing food.  Also now that my friends span across the United States, the cheapest destination for everyone, is Vegas.

So that's where we went.

Mary sprung for a limo to take us to the airport.
So Nice!

Rose and Kim arrived the same time we did, and Tegan and Jaime flew in later that night.

We arrived late Friday afternoon, unpacked and headed out for meal #1.
Yes.
Bouchon has been a favorite of mine for years.  The food was delicious.  I will say I'm partial to the location in Yountville.  However, the Vegas location did not disappoint.

We had grown up "Woman in her Thirties" cocktails.

And for the first time in 20 years, Kim and I managed to take a good photograph together.

We had the chilled tower.  As you should.

And my Scallops were divine.

We even got Laura to try an oyster!

After dinner we headed out to our destination.
Via Limo.

Cause that's how we roll.
(I mean...why stop now? Right?)

We were all very excited for this show.
Because deep down aren't we all 16?

The next day we had Lunch at the extremely anticipated NOBU.
I would have to say Rose and I were the most excited.
We talked about the menu and what we were going to order for MONTHS.

I was so happy everyone was there to experience the restaurant.  Because that's what NOBU is, an experience.

There are no words to describe the deliciousness of the dishes served there.
They are melt in your mouth fantastic.

And just enough to leave you wanting more.

After lunch some girls went back to nap, and some girls went back to run, and then some girls chose to shop.
:)
Guess who the shoppers were.....

Dinner Saturday night was at Bobby Flay's restaurant
And thanks to Casey's connection we had VIP treatment.

I'm so sad I didn't take more photos of dinner.  It was delicious.  So, so good.  Best spicy margarita I have ever had. Ever.

Everyone had a great time.

Even pregnant Lindsey.

Awww.  Hi baby!

After dinner we headed back to our hotel.

The Venetian.
It was really nice.

Some people had drinks....
Drink (s)
;)

Mary loves her wine.
;)

Some people had dessert.
*cough*(pregnant lady)*cough*

I'm so blessed to have so many wonderful women in my life.  And even more blessed that I have the ability to spend time with them like this.
It was a perfect end to my Birthday Week.

So far 37 is looking pretty good!
